In addition to
his work with the Company, Dr. Rohrer is also an Associate
Professor within the Department of Immunology at the USA.
He graduated with a B.A. in
Zoology from the University of Kansas in 1969 and received his
Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Kansas in 1975.
He carried out his
postdoctoral study at Washington University School of Medicine
in the Fellowship and a Leukemia Society of America Special
Fellowship during his post doctoral training.
He joined the faculty at the
University of South Alabama college of Medicine in 1979. Dr. Rohrer has
exhaustively researched and published on the Onocfetal Antigen
as well as characterizing the T and B lymphocyte response to
immature laminin receptor protein (iLRP) during tumorigenesis.
Dr. Rohrer has played a
central role in developing the Company’s cancer vaccine
utilizing the OFA/iLRP as a target antigen for the Company’s
dendritic cell therapy currently being tested in the
FDA-authorized trials. |
